June: Our insured struck a pedestrian before sunrise.
We need to know what the weather was like including twilight
information and where the moon was located in the sky at the incident
time.

May: An air conditioner at our insured's apartment
complex stopped working. We are not sure if lightning caused the
failure. Please provide us with a lightning report with a 3-day
search period around our date of question.

April: A person fell while getting out of the car.
The person sustained fatal injuries. Could you check to see if
snow or freezing rain happened at the time of the fall and give us an
idea of how much snow/ice had accumulated. We also need if
advisories were in affect and give us what the lighting condition was,
i.e., sunset time, twilight times and explanations.

March: Large hail was observed in our area and I
would like to get a HailTrax report that would show hail swaths around
the region and if the thunderstorm went directly over our insured's
address.

February: We would like see how much hail was
reported from the current date back to January 2002. Please use
our apartment in question as the center point and examine hail reports
within a 10-mile radius.

January:
A train
flatcar loaded with our product was damaged from freezing
temperatures. The product will freeze if it sits too long.
We need the high and low temperatures for several days along with
weather forecasts that would show us if freezing temperatures were
forecast for a long period.

December:
A
person fell on a sidewalk
during a snow storm. We could not find evidence of the alleged
snow storm. Please check hourly weather information to see if
heavy snow or blizzards were observed in the area and snow amounts if
available.

Our
insured claims high winds ripped a camp topper of its truck. We
need to know the weather forecasts
and it there were any high wind warnings on incident date.

October:
An
auto accident happened after sunset. Could you give us the
various times for twilight on our date and time in question and if the
moon might have given extra light provided there was no cloud cover.

September:
A
person was badly injured after falling off a motorcycle. We need
to find out if an isolated thunderstorm caused the road to become
slippery. Please examine radar images to see if rain fell at the
accident location.

Roofing
contractors have been roaming throughout various neighborhoods stating
hail happened on a specific date causing damage to many homes.
We would like to get a hail-swath HailTrax report that would identify
areas which were and were not affected by this storm.

July:
Several
train cars were derailed from thunderstorm straight line-winds.
We need to determine if any wind or thunderstorm advisories were
issued on the day of the derailment. Also we need weather radar
images showing what time and exactly where the thunderstorm occurred
in relation to the train.

We
insure a grain silo that was evidently damaged by high winds.
Could you find any wind damage that has been reported in the county
and give us an idea of how strong the winds were.

A home
owner claims fire started in his attic. We're not sure how the
fire began at this early point, but we would like to rule in or rule
out the ignition from lightning.

electrician says that a well water pump was damaged by a lightning
strike. We need a report that shows if lightning happened in the

observed lightning during this time. Also, examine the 24-hour
period to see if lightning was or was not evident.

insured claims dock ice damage from melting and moving ice on a windy
day. Please give us wind speeds/directions and temperature
information over the past couple of months.

Our
client needs to find out how many floods in a city have happened over
the past 7 years. Of those specific flood dates...how often did
heavy rain occur. In other words, would various rainfall amounts
happen once every 1-year in that city, 10-years, 50-years, or up to
1000-years.

A
postal carrier slipped on ice at a local mall. Please forward us
any information about freezing rain in the area, 24-hour temperatures,
and weather forecasts around the region that would indicate the
potential for inclement winter weather.

The media reported that it was a '100-year heavy rain event'.
Could you verify if the statement was correct or exaggerated.

Our
insured states he was away from his office for an extended period and
upon return found that several computers would not start. We
need a 16-day search to see if lightning was the culprit.

cyclist was injured after a fall. We need to see if the rider

person fell claiming that 'black ice' covered a sidewalk after
snow melt water re-froze and should have been salted.
Temperatures are needed to prove if snowmelt water actually was
frozen or just wet on the sidewalk.

We are trying to find out if the hinges failed because of high
winds or just old age. Please send wind speeds in the area
along with any wind advisories and other damage that might have
been reported on the incident date.

tossed onto a patron. The patron is suing. Could you

and just how dark it was at the accident time. |
